Competitor analysis

Competitor analysis is where Monk collects the ads winning in your market. You scan competitors, review the ads Monk scrapes, and mark the ones worth learning from. Find it in the app sidebar under Competitor analysis.

The two pages

• Scraped ads. The ads Monk pulled from the Meta Ad Library for your competitors.
• History. A record of past scans.

Find winning ads

1. Open Competitor analysis → Scraped ads.
2. Click Find winning ads.
3. Monk scans the Meta Ad Library and adds the top ads it finds.

Monk ranks ads on signals like how long they have run and how wide their reach is.

What a scan covers

Each scan is capped:

• The first 3 competitors on your brand are scanned.
• Up to 10 ads per competitor, so 30 ads per run.

Your competitor list comes from onboarding. If a competitor fails, the rest of the scan still completes.

Need more? We can raise your competitor and scrape limits. Ask us and we will set it up for your brand.

Monk also re-scans automatically every day. New ads are added, and ads you have already seen are refreshed in place, so nothing you marked is lost. You never have to run a scan by hand to stay current.

Sort the ads with your team

On each scraped ad you and your teammates can:

• Love an ad to mark it as one to learn from.
• Exclude an ad to keep it out of generation.
• Comment in a thread. Leave as many comments as you like, and each is attributed to whoever wrote it.

Comments are shared, so the whole team sees the same discussion on every ad.

Filter the feed

Filter the ad list by what your team has marked:

Filter	Shows
Hide excluded	Everything except excluded ads. This is the default.
Loved	Only loved ads.
Needs review	Ads nobody has marked yet.
Excluded	Only excluded ads.
Show all	Everything.

You can also filter by competitor, filter to active ads only, search, and sort by newest, oldest, score, or longest running.

What happens next

Loved ads feed generation, so Monk builds your new creatives from proven winners. Excluded ads are left out.
