Create a Meta System User token

A System User token is a read-only key with the ads_read scope. It lets Monk read your ad results. It never expires and can never post or spend.

How to create it

1. Go to business.facebook.com, then Business Settings.
2. Open Users → System Users, then click Add (give it Employee access).
3. Click Generate new token and pick your app.
4. Tick the ads_read scope, then Generate.
5. Copy the token and paste it into Monk.

Prefer not to share a token?

Invite us to your Business Manager as an Analyst on the ad account instead.

Is it safe?

Yes. The token is stored encrypted at rest, is read-only, and is never shared. You can revoke it anytime in Meta.
