API keys & engines
Settings
Your engine, API keys, Meta accounts and ad copy language, all in one place.
Settings is the page that holds everything Monk needs to run for a brand: the generation engine, your keys, your Meta ad accounts, and your ad copy language. Keys are encrypted at rest and shown only as a mask.
Find it at the bottom of the app sidebar under Settings. Each brand has its own.
What the page shows
The top of the page is a read-only status check, so you can see at a glance whether the brand is ready:
- Generation engine, and whether a key pair is provided.
- Meta access, your ad accounts and whether a System User token is saved.
- Contact, the name and email on the brand.
- Higgsfield Marketing Studio, with a Connected, Needs reconnect, or Not connected badge.
To edit anything, open the Settings & keys panel below it.
Connect Higgsfield
Higgsfield is the engine that generates your ads. The simplest way to connect it is the one time login, no key to copy.
- On Settings, find the Higgsfield Marketing Studio card.
- Click Connect Higgsfield.
- Sign in to Higgsfield and approve access.
Monk brings you back and shows Connected. It keeps the connection renewed for you. If you have more than one Higgsfield workspace, click Change next to Workspace to pick the right one. If the badge ever reads Needs reconnect, click Reconnect.

Engine and API keys
Open Settings & keys to edit these.
- Generation engine. Higgsfield is the only engine on offer today. See engines.
- Higgsfield Key ID and Higgsfield Key Secret. The alternative to the one time login, for brands that already hold Higgsfield API keys.
- Meta System User token. A read-only analyst token so Monk can read ad performance. See Meta token.
- Meta ad accounts. One per line, as
act_123456789, Label. See Meta ad account.
Secrets are prefilled with their mask. Leave a masked field untouched to keep the current value, or type a new value to replace it. Nothing is ever shown back to you in full.
Brand and language
The same panel holds the settings that shape what Monk looks for and what it writes:
- Niche keywords, comma separated. What Monk searches the Ad Library for.
- Markets, comma separated. The countries you sell in. See markets.
- Ad types, comma separated. The funnel stages you want ads for. See ad types.
- Ad copy language, the language of all text baked into the image. See ad copy language.
Click Save settings when you are done. Changes apply to every new generation. Ads already made are not touched.
